Joining the Cat Quilt-Along

December 18, 2013

I have a couple of big projects that I really need to finish around here, but when I saw this cat quilt-along at Oh, Fransson! I had to stop whatever I was doing and make it.

I had this beautiful Northcott fabric in rainbow colors that would also go along with my scraps:

The colors are so beautiful here that I almost didn’t want to sew with it!

I don’t have a very large scrap fabric stash, so I am putting the cats together out of order. I am putting them together based on the number and size of scraps I can use!

I have been happily cutting and piecing these darlings together. I am going to turn it into a cute little quilt rug for my first-born. When she walks by the pile she says, “Mommy make it for me!”

Smart kid. She has good taste!

Since moving to southeast Texas more than two months ago, we have been busy making this new house our home. We’ve taken on projects to move this space and make it comfortable for the kids.

As we are settle down a little bit more each day I am ready to get back into my normal routine of sewing and crafting. In order for me to retain my sanity I really need to be able to make stuff!

The first order of business was putting together this blog so that I can keep track and document it all.

Let’s get started….
