Daydream fabric by Kate Spain

July 21, 2014

I have spent the last few weeks working on the Fresh quilt from Camille Roskelley’s Simply Retro. I love this book and plan to make at least another two more quilts from it! (I have heard that if you plan to make at least two quilts from a book or magazine, it’s worth the purchase price.)

The fabric I chose is Daydream by Kate Spain. I love her vibrant use of pattern and color. DSC_8492A couple of years ago, when my sister flew in to visit from overseas, she spotted one of my quilts and I somehow ended up gifting her my most favorite quilt at the time, made up of Kate Spain’s Central Park line. I still haven’t gotten over it!

I snatched up this fat quarter and waited for the perfect project to make up for the previous quilt. This fabric is gorgeous.DSC_8496I am so excited to finish up this quilt. Right now I’m working on the backing. I also had enough leftover fabric to cut up the requirements for a Cheerio Quilt in Issue 8 of Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine.

Maybe I’ll send that one to my sister when I’m finished!  😉
