In the February issue of American Patchwork & Quilting, I also fell in love the the Tone it Down Quilt.

I think this would be another one of the more challenging quilts for me, and will absolutely love once I finish.

I picked up this bundle of RJR Fabrics’ Cold Spring Dreams by Mary McGuire. I think the colors are so beautiful and I’m waiting to find the right project to make something with it!

Superstar Quilt

October 26, 2014

Elizabeth Hartman is one of my favorite quilters. I loved her first book, The Practical Guide to Patchwork: New Basics for the Modern Quiltmaker and made one of my most favorite quilts from it. (Yeah, I’m still not over it because I talk about it all the time!)

One of the next projects I would like to make is the Superstar quilt. At one point I had all the fabric picked out, but now I’m waiting to find the next fabric line that really makes my heart go pitter-patter with this pattern.

In the February issue of American Patchwork & Quilting, I picked it up digitally and fell in love with the Perfect Union Quilt.

The bright colors immediately pulled me in and I love how it looks by playing on the solids and patterns of the fabrics.

Quilt Ladder

October 24, 2014

quiltladder

In addition to wanting to make a craft table, I want to make a quilt ladder to display some of my quilts.

Right now, I display our quilts in our family room on a large drapery rod:

DSC_7266We are planning on moving as soon as our house sells, so one of the other projects that would have been on the list was a quilt rug for the family room. We’ll see where we end up. I’m not sure if we’ll need another quilt rug, but I think I’ll need a quilt ladder!

Spell it with Fabric Quilt

October 23, 2014

If you’ve been following my wishlist this month and noticed a pattern: Yes, I have an obsession with samplers. I want to make a Spell it with Moda quilt.

I think it would look awesome in one of my children’s rooms, or maybe using it as a quilt rug for a playroom.

The Dainty Darling Dress

October 22, 2014

sewclassicclothes

I’ve made a few pieces from Sew Classic Clothes for Girls (here and here).

The Dainty Darling Dress is so adorable. I have visions of Christmas dresses from the pattern for my daughters this year.

I have no idea if I’ll be able to put it together since our house is on the market and I’m trying to keep my craft messes to a minimum, so we’ll see what happens!

Moda Modern Building Blocks

October 21, 2014

I don’t normally work with solids, but when I spotted this on Instagram I really would love to get my hands on the Modern Building Blocks kit.

I love everything about this. It calls out the sampler lover in me and I think it would be both fun and a good challenge. More about the quilt here on Google.

Dottie Quilt

I have this Kona roll-up that has been in my stash waiting for a project.

The Dottie pattern by Moda looks like it would be the perfect fit for the fabricI It’s a fun pattern and making it with the solids would be pretty amazing.

You can find the pattern here. This quilt would make an excellent gift, except by the time I finished I would want to keep it for myself!

A Cutting/Craft Table

October 19, 2014

I have a dream of the perfect table to use as both a cutting table and a place where I can scrapbook (I like to scrapbook standing up).

I really like the idea of making my own table, with some help from my husband. We recently built cubbies together and we managed to get along on that DIY project!
